Paper chains

This lead up to Christmas has been a bit stressful and frustrating with extra work and machines being temperamental. It was great to great out to the in-laws and do some thing fast and simple and very satisfying. I had a whole heap of paper sample that have made wonderful paper chains.

Ros's roses are beautiful and perfumed.

Merry Christmas!

One Man Mosh Pit

Homebake was on Saturday. Jane decided this was our last chance to be a tribe. So I decorated T-shirts. I was make do with the materials that I had at hand. But after some frustration and taking over the whole house, I work out how to do the machine embroidery. The text was done with paper stencils and Sophie's paint. It does seem to come out of her clothes. And it really only need to last a day.

Covered Button Necklace

I had an idea for Naomi's birthday but I didn't quite know how I would but it together. Thank goodness All Buttons great and Small and Etelage are just doors away on King St. The stitching came together quite quickly. Even thought there was some undoing.(as always)

A Wedding Present

I had the fabric. I had the thread. I had the frame. I had the idea. Not so much experience. If only I had planned a little more time. But I got this finished for M & E's wedding on the weekend. I am pretty pleased with the result seeming I haven't really done much embroidery before. Lots for doing a bit and undoing nearly as much this week.

It says "A star shines on the hour of our meeting" in one of Tolkien's Elvish scripts.
